HOW TO APPLY

New Connections can be made available to the following type of establishments:

  • Residential
  • Religious Places
  • Educational Institutions
  • Hospitals
  • Cultural Functions
  • Commercial Services
  • Hotels
  • Miscellaneous
  • Religious Functions

DOCUMENTATION FORMALITIES

Submit the following documents at the nearest Customer Care Unit of JED PLC:
1. Application Form with a Passport Size  along with Self Declaration Form
2. Proof of Ownership/Occupancy (any one of the following)

  • Certified Copy of Title Deed
  • Certified Copy of Agreement Form
  • Rent receipt/Lease agreement along with No Objection Certificate & proof of ownership of landlord

3. ID-Proof (any one of the following)

  • Permanent Voters Card (PVC)
  • National ID Card/Int’l Passport
  • Drivers License

PROCESS FLOW FOR NEW SETUP/CONNECTION (2 – 5 WORKING DAYS)

  • Customers request for service connection by walking to CCU or downloading of Form 74
    online
  • CCU representative guides the customer on filling of the form
  • CCU representative lodges customer information on the Form 74 register after coding
  • CCU representative delivers the form to Area Manager or Feeder Manager, who visits the
    customer’s premises for load sampling of appliances. In this case also LECAN inspect the premises for standard wiring
  • The Form 74 and mains inspection report sheet is given to the Network engineer by CCU Rep or A/FMgr for load assessment
  • Network engineer submits mains inspection report to HNE for connection approval
  • Network Engineer submits the forms back to CCU/ Area Manager or Feeder Manager, who raise the New setup template for submission to Billing centre for account generation
  • Bills delivered to the customers
